Also, when I do a high # of strokes(200-300), that is usually a one time session for a rifle in need. After the rifle is fouled again 20-50 should work or until you remove the copper.

When used in MLers a 200-300 session is sometimes needed more than once due to the corrosive effects of BP and Pyro. It will take out plastic left from Sabots too.

TRG, if you will wrap a JB patch around a brush instead of a Jag your will get results far quicker than with a jag. I've done it both ways and the brush is 5-10x quicker........DJ

I use J-B bore paste occasionally followed by some flitz to shine up my bore but I dont use it every time. None of the local stores have this bore bright that I have seen, I will have to keep an eye open for it.

djpaintles;this sounds really familiar.

My T3 300 winmag was copper fouling to the point of accuracy loss at 15-17 rounds.I went to wipeout to cut the cleaning time down,it works great.JB borepaste was suggested and the rifle shot to the 20 round mark before accuracy suffered from copper fouling.I now use the borebright after the paste with the brush wrapped with patch trick and last time out the last three shots were no.21,22,23 inside MOA at 300 yds with no sign yet of loss of accuracy.This rifle now has 240 rounds through and is the most accurate rifle I have owned.

I�ve heard that J-B is abrasive and should be used sparingly.
Those i�ve talked to use it only two times a year.
I�ve been running it back and forth 20-30 times.
Is it safe to use it more often and 50-300 back and forth like Reloder suggests?

This would be a great topic for the various defunct gun rags to take on. I myself would be very interested in what the results of some lengthy use of todays gun cleaning agents appear like from a borescope. Frankly some of the latest products got me a little sceered, too agressive.
