Wondering if any one knows why the standard 300H&H reloading dies from the likes of Redding; RCBS etc. do not have a neck sizing die or offer one as a stand alone purchase? Just started loading for this caliber (newly acquired Win Mod 70)and do not wish to stress rather expensive brass.

I set the resizing die to do the neck without bumping the shoulder.

Been shooting the 300 H&H for years. I also just use standard dies and set the die to neck size only, I start with barely seating the bullet, then try it in the gun and keep sizeing it and trying it until it quits touching the bullet in the lands but feeds easy..It will be barely touching the shoulder and cases last as long as the 270 or 30-06...

Those who proclaim the 300 H&H being belted is hard on brass, simply don't know how to reload.

If you happen to have a set to 300 Winchester or 300 WSM dies, you can turn them "up" and push the 300 H&H case in just far enough to resize the neck only..

Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Or a .300 Weatherby FL die will work fine for neck sizing .300 H&H. I like the Lee Collet die myself, which is what I use exclusively for reloading my .300 H&H. But a .300 H&H FL die backed off of the shell holder by "about the thickness of a nickel" (for those of you who like specifications with close tolerances) will function just fine as a neck-sizer.

RCBS do a Neck Sizing Die for the .300H&H, why not just buy one?

Why buy one is the better question, no need for it! Any full length die will neck size only, and you can custom fit the shoulder for perfection.
