Finally found my reloading bench…..

Was buried in my parent's garage, I'm gonna go with a Black & Decker Workmate work bench. Just thought I'd put the press and powder measure on to see what it would look like without any modifications. If anyone has pics of their Black & Decker work benches or have any recommended modifications please share them! Thanks!

I used one for sa long time. Mounted a piece of laminated benchtop on it (cut from the hole for double sink) and bolted on with timber plate under worktop, seemed stronger that way.Then mounted press etc to that. Worked fine. Still have it. Another advantage of removable top is can remove it and fold the workmate out of the way.

I used the Workmate for years as a primary and a portable loading bench. Spread the jaws out as far as they can go and cut a piece of ¾ AC plywood to that total dimension, then bolt it to the jaws.

Makes a very strong loading bench with a usable top.

Also used a workmate for a reloading bench a few years back. cut a 3/4 inch plywood top with a 2x6 screwed underneath to clamp into the jaws. Mounted my press on one end (not side) and stacked two 25 pound dumbells on the other end to counter the force applied to the press handle. Much stiffer than mounting the press from the side. Worked well.

I don't have a press mounted on my "workmate" (cheap knock off of the B&D). I have my trimmers and Dillon deswager mounted on 2x 6 blocks and put the tool I am using on it using the blocks to lock it in place. I have a press mounted on a box to use as a tabltop press and have clamped it on top also.
