I'm trying to workup a good load for a Para Ord. .40. Does anyone have any experance with Para Ord. to know if they have a preticular bullet weight that they prefer? Thanks | ||

Depending on you are looking for. I reload for Para Ordnance P16, for Practical Shooting. For this very specifc application, I use 200 gr Round Nose, plain lead cast bullets for training and cooper plated for competitions. IPSC rules require a minimum power factor ( bullet weight x muzzle velocity), so a heavy bullet lets reduce velocity to a minimum. Round nose for optimum feeding. ParaOrdnance pistols have a big advantage,they let us use .40S&W bullets with overall length enlarged. I use 1,25 inch overall length (in lieu of 1,135in. specified for .40S&W).It reduces pressure and recoil. Hope this helps BA Shooter | |||
