Any reloaders for the Marlin 336 in 35 Rem? I have some Hornady FTX 200gr bullets to reload up. It appears that people have good luck with 3031 and Varget powders. The LE factory ammo shoots .50-.75" groups from my Marlin so my reloads have an upcoming challenge. It's amazing how accurate these bullets are from a lever action. This has been my main hunting rig for a few years so I am looking for a good hunting reload workup that does not have to cut holes at 100 yards. I may buy 200gr Core Lokts and compare the 2 loads.

A compressed load of 3031 will be 39 or 40 gr.
It will give around 2300 fps or so.
The factory load is around 1950, nice improvement.
Good luck!

Hey Rozman, Back some 50 years ago I drug Deer for three Elders. They all used Marlin 35Rems with 200gr RN Remington bullets and H4895. No idea of how much, but they all used the same Load.

None of their Deer were shot at a very long distance(maybe 125-150yds) and were always 1-shot Kills. I heard one of them shoot twice one time and thought the string was broken. But, he had two Deer which needed dragging. Big Grin

Great Deer cartridge. If the FTX technology does as well as the old standard grade 200gr RN Remington, it will serve you well.

Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills.
