reduced 300 Weatherby load advice???
Cool

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question for you all. I'm working on some reduced 300 Weatherby loads. I was looking in my Lyman Reloading Manual and found some great looking reduced loads using cast 170, 190 and 210 grain rounds. They suggest SR4759 and my current favorite, XMP5744. However, I don't currently have any cast bullets and was wondering if I substituted a 180 Hornady BTSP in lieu of the 170 or 190 cast bullet, would it make a difference in pressures?

What's you opinion and/or personal experience with things like this?

Thanks in advance.

Yep. Don't substitute loads between cast and jacketed bullets. There's a good chance of sticking the jacketed bullet in the bore.
