poulsbo--I am of the opinion that pets are animals and pet loads are rifle-specific. Your best bet is to dig through the reloading manuals and work up a load for your rifle.

It's been a while since I sold mine (dumb move). I used 100 gr Barnes x and IMR 48312. It had awesome terminal performance. (The guide called them "heat seeking missles"). Were I loading it now I'd use the Barnes TSX closes to the 100 and H4831SC at around 3200 FPS.
I am using 53gr. IMR 4831 and and 100gr. Barnes TSX. Terminal performance is outstanding. Deer are dead on there feet when hit by this and accuracy is sub inch at 100 yards.

Try RL-22 @57 grains or IMR 4350 @ 52 grains. Both produce excellent groups in my Sako 25-06 with the Barnes 1oo grain TSX. I shot a 175 pound hog two weeks ago with the IMR load at 100 yards and it just flopped over. The bullet exited and was not recovered after blowing out the opposing side shoulder

My load consists of 50gr of H4350, WIN brass, F210 primers. Bullet is seated 0.03 inches from lands. Velocity is 3150 fps from my Sako 75 which has an approx 22 inch barrel. Accuracy is very good. I got a little more velocity and similar accuracy from RL 22, but elected to go with the H4350 due to concerns about temperature sensitivity with the Reloader powder. Velocity was slower and accuracy was not as good in my rifle with H4831. Brad.
