I'm using loads of IMR 4350 in the low 40s behind a Nosler 120-grain Ballistic Tip for about 2500 fps in a Rem XP-100R for MOA or better.

how about 42.0 grns IMR 4350 behind a 140 gr Hornady SST. Near max load so start low and work up. Shoots extremely well in my Remington Mountain rifle.

Can't verify this for a pistol, but in a rifle:

100 grain bullets: IMR 4064/ 43.5 grains, 3350 fps from a 22 inch barrel.

120's/ Most accurate I have found is W 748/ 40 grains, about 2800 fps.

140's H 414, RL 15, IMR 4064 are my prefered powders of choice. with 140s in a 260, I load mine at 2500 fps and that rifle sports a straight 4 x Weaver scope. I use it for Brush and thick cover, and some open country, limiting shots to 200 yds or so.

For open country I use a 26 inch barreled 6.5 x 55 Winchester Featherweight with a custom barrel on it, and 140 grain bullets loaded to 2850 to 2900 fps.
