Hy guys
Congrats to all the fathers in this day.
I am reloading a 10.75x68 Oberndorf Mauser in very good condition.
I hunted with him some hogs red stag and an old water buffalo.
To load him I use Woodleigh 347 gr. and Imr 4198 (58 gr.) at 2240 fps.
Reading old forums here I saw that someone use 400 gr. bullets.
Is not easy to get here the woodleigh bullets so just to play a little more with him I am thinking in load with some lead bullets.
Could anyone recommend me some mould and manufacturer to ask for a mould in 350 grs and other in 400 grs.
Thanks for all the answers

I'd check with Buffalo Arms. They have a very good selection of odd/obsolete cast bullets. What's the original bullet diameter? If I did the math correctly, 10.75mm converts to .423" and they do list a bullet of that diameter. They have moulds also.

The diameter is .423 .
It is important to buy a mould with a design that have demonstrated it properties in some accuracy .
I have a mould that came with the rifle but is so bad that from inside a room you don't hit the walls.
The other source could be LBT which I think is one of the best ,but I live in Argentina and is not so easy to send him the previous mould you have to take.
I'm really asking if someone have used a mould that works.

grotz, I had a Hoch mould made to my own design and it has worked spetactularly well in at least four 404 Jeffery's and a couple of 10.75x68's It is a 350gn GC that I have run out at over 2500fps but find it is very accurate at 1900 right through to 2400 and kills very well as a bonus.

The bullet is no 6 from left with GC and lube

Loaded round is 3 from the left. Note the quick rate the flat round nose transitions to the bore dia and this is a factor in its accuracy.

Mould was made 5 18 08
CC6610
425 345
This is what it can do at 2416 fps over 87gn ADI2209 which is the same powder as H4350. That is five rounds at 55yds through aperture sight.

PM sent.

I use cast bullets in my 404 rifle which is an Oberndorf Mauser, originally chambered for 10,75x68 cartridge. The target below is a 3 shot group at 50m with von gruff's 350gr GC bullet using 63.0 grs AR2209 (IMR4350) for 1800 fps.

The cast bullet on the right of the 350gr cast in von gruff's photo is from my 400gr mould. I now gas check these and they shoot very well with the same powder load. My 400gr mould is an Hoch 484 made 1-12-79 424 400.
