Does anyone kuse the piggy back system for their single stage press. I have been thinking about it since in the summer I reload high volumes for shooting gophers. Any comments on it would be great. I was thinking of the 4 instead of the three.

I use one but only for handgun sizes, .357 and such. I do all my hunting loads on a single stage. I just am not big on a progressive for hunting loads. It is just a personal thing and I may be the only one like that. I am wanting to think .223 may be the largest rifle round that will fit in a piggyback but I am not sure.

I have one of the Piggy Back II's and love it. Setup was pretty simple if you can follow directions. Operation is pretty straight forward, pay attention to what you are doing (you should with any reloading steps). I sold my Rock Chucker and now use it on my new Lee Cast press. I just had to drill a small hole about 1/4th inch deep in the top of the Lee press (for the RCBS locator pin on the Piggy Back II)and it works fine now. I have only loaded pistol calibers on my PBII. It sure saves a lot of time reloading now, accuracy seems to be the same as with the single stage reloaded ones. Steve E......... I've loaded up to and including .460 Wby. on an RCBS Ammomaster. The powder measure didn't throw enough powder so I had to stop at that stage and help it out a bit. In general it's probably tougher to make really accurate loads on the progress. Much of it comes down to the case prep anyway. Several varmint loads I've messed with would shoot 1/2" 5 shot groups off the progressive, but you better be loading a lot of rounds to make it worth setting it up. Kyler
