.222 ***2400 range report

wave all .222 loads were with 16gr. 2400 powder CCI mag primer. FC cases.
  • 45gr. hprn, DIRTY, 3004 to 3111 fps. OK but not great.
  • 46gr.hprn win., 2978 to 3024fps.DIRTY but accurate.
  • 40gr.Balistic Tip Nosler 3131fps.Accurate

    battery went dead on the chrono. 50gr.psp & 55gr TNT delivered 3 shot 1/2 " groups at 50 yds.Same powder load. All were stinken dirty. mgunroger

    2400 is well known for bding dirty - also to fast for a triple deuce

    Hey Roger, Excellent Report. Especially about "2400" burning a bit dirty.

    I'd mentioned using "2400" to POP in his thread and never thought about them being dirty. And they are, just as you mentioned.
