Does anybody have data for 9.3x57mm using 250 and 286gr bullets preferably with varget? I picked up a very nice Husky sporter and I need to feed it.

I have old Lapua reloading data from 2002 where this round is still mentioned, with Vihta powders of course and 255 grain bullets. PM me a mail adress and I'd be happy to forward you the PDF.

timg953 Is your Husky sporter built on a mauser 96 action or a 98 style action?

I should also have asked what brass are you planning on using? If you have some old brass I would be very cautious about using it. If you can't locate some new 9.3x57 brass there is no problem using new 8x57 brass necked up. Rem or Win are both good.

It's on a 96 action. I have virgin Hornady 8x57 brass that I plan to make the 9.3x57 out of.

timg953 I have some load data for 232 gr and 250 gr bullets. With the 232 gr start with 40 grs of IMR 3031. With 250 gr bullets start with 42 grs of H4895. 286 gr bullets are pretty slow in the 9.3x57. If the 250 gr is not heavy enough I would suggest you try the 270 gr Speer bullet. Speer may have some data for you. Hope that helps.

Norma's website has data.

203B is very similar to rl15. Which in turn isn't far off from Varget.

My favorite loads are with AA2460 but I use rl15 in my 9x57.

Thanks, guys. Perhaps, I will reserve the 286s for my 9.3x62 (when it gets finished).

I only shoot 286's in my 9,3x57. The one sold by Prvi Partizan perform real well at the 57's velocities. They typically shoot to POA (within reason) when using the original sights.

That's good to know. I have 100 of the privi 286s but load data is scarce.
