I saw that Wideners is selling GUATEMALAN 5.56 brass with a "smaller" flash hole. Anyone have any idea if this stuff is good? Headstamp in pic says SMI 5.56. Also, any clues about WCC68 brass? Safe to load for modern firearms?

WCC66 is made by Winchester Cartridge Company in 1968.
Should be just as good as any other US military brass.

welcome to ar - I don't think i'd fool with any brass that had "smaller flash holes" I think that would be just something to get the decapping pin stuck into or broken off. western cartridge company (otherwise known as winchester) 68 brass is about as good as it gets

I've not had any problems with smaller flash holes since I put the proper size of decap pins, to suit the brass, in my sizing dies.

Most PPC cases for many years had smaller flash holes and many still do. So, when I size small flash-hole brass, I just use the decapping rod/pin from my .22 PPC die. works fine, and doesn't have to be changed out to do cases with the larger flash hole, either.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

the guatemalean is berdan primed. i have broken two decapping pins over the years while not paying attention with that stuff. it is pretty good surplus ammo for an ar-15.
