I am going to start loading a few 25-06 cases and was wondering if anyone had any pro or neg. comments about IMR 4350. I am going to load some Sierra 117 grain and some 115 grain Noslers. Both manuels listed this powder so from a cheap standpoint I can stuff both with the same powder. I am open to any and all help and comments. Thanks! WS

I use I4350 for both bullets, to great effect.

IMR 4350 is an excellent powder. I love it in the .30/'06 and the .270 Win. as well. In addition, I have used it in the .25/'06 and gotten good accuracy with it. However, it is not the best powder for the .25/'06, as it is a bit on the fast side for that cartridge if you want optimum performance. I got my best combinations of high velocity and accuracy from my .25/'06 ( a Ruger No. 1V, 24" barrel), with Norma N205, and later, Norma MRP (now named MRP1). H4831 also did well, but the Norma powders were better. Also excellent in the .25/'06 are Alliant RL 22 and IMR 7828. Note that all these are slower than IMR 4350. "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser.
