I have been loading for more than 30 years. I use the same technique to save load data results. Originally a Lyman load book and now the Sinclair load data sheet. There has to be a better way that does not involve a computer or double logging the data. Oklahoma is very windy and the sheets I use are always getting wind whipped and occasionally I loose a sheet in a brisk wind. So I am looking for suggestions to the record keeping issue.

What I do now is I have a three ring binder partitioned off with different calibers. Within each caliber there are on average 20+ rifles. Each sheet is reinforced with the ring bolsters to keep the pages from ripping out. When I shoot I write down;

DATE/TEMP/CASE/PRIMER/POWDER/BULLET/WT/TYPE/SETTING/VELOCITY/EXTREME SPREAD/STANDARD DEVIATION/NUMBER OF SHOTS/GROUP SIZE/ COMMENTS

Over the years the pages get torn up and dirty and or lost. This is good data as I have all of these rifles and continue to shoot and work on new powder loadings for them. I tried taking a computer with me but the battery would not last through a full 10 hr session and I already have so much other stuff to carry out that I really dont want to do another labor intensive task at the range.

Is there a better way? Perhaps a sleeve to store the logbook pages in ?? I would really like to computerise but the spread sheet prograns are a pain in the butt to go through and you end up copying the data twice.

HELP.

I use 1X 2 5/8 mailing labels that I preprint. These are attached to the ammo boxes with all the pertainent loading info. As I get ready to shoot what's in a box I remove the lable and paste it in a 4 x 6 note book. I record all the data under the lable and when I find free time that info is transfered to the Computer. The storage is on a simple form I use in Excel. Maybe this is what you are calling copying it twice. I'll be glad to E-mail you the form and the labels I print. beerroger

I have an excel spread sheet. I really don't like it much but the one I am using may be different than you are using. I would like you to e-mail the form to me if you will.
