Moly coated lead pistol bullets....issues?

Will these "black" moly bullets create similar cleaning issues in pistols/revolvers as do rifle moly bullets? My intent is to use the moly lead for target shooting and gas check/jacketed bullets for hunting. Bear creek supply and precision bullets sell moly lead bullets.

I have a friend who swears by these for his action pistol shooting. His only complaint is that the moly clogs up his compensator's ports and makes it a pain to clean - but he says he has no leading. Which is worse - I guess it's personal preference.

I have used the Precision Bullets in a .40 S&W and .357 mag revolver. With the revolver, no issues. With the .40, leading was reduced, but not enough to warrant their use. I went back to jacketed bullets for it. YMMV.

I have only used normal cleaning procedures, and did not treat my bore. All bbl's are stainless.
