I'm taking my 9.3x62 to Tanzania this August and have two boxes of 300 grain A-frames. Alas, I don't have a Swift reloading manual. I would like to use H414 and RL-15 (since I have a bunch) to work up a load. Would someone be so nice as to post the starting and max loads with those two powders... and the expected velocity, too? Pretty please!

Great! I may owe you partial credit for a 50" buffalo!

This forum sure is great... Thanks Saeed and everyone else! It only took 6 minutes for an answer, too.

Hi Judge G

Hope you had a good buffalo hunt.
I am curious... Do the game department of Tanzania really let hunters use 9,3 cal. ammo.
I have one myself (9,3x74R)but are planning to get a bigger gun since the gamedep. often do not allow anything less than .375. however less it may be..

I do believe that .375 is the minimum caliber and will be taking a .404 Jeffery for the first buffalo (there are two on the license). Having said that, I'll be hunting other game with the 9.3x62 and if the right buffalo shows up and if the game scout doesn't mind, neither will I.

HI judge G

Ok I am not misinformed then. I'll get me a bigger gun [Smile] Which I do not mind at all, for some reason.
I do know that the old german colonies allow the 9,3 for buff.
But a bigger gun, like yours, would be better, I am certain.
