Can someone please run quick load for the 375 JDJ with 200 gr hornadys & 51 gr imr 4895 in a 22 & 24' barrel? I cant find any ballistic data for rifle barrels. Velocity mainly. ![]() Doug Humbarger NRA Life member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club 72'73. Yankee Station Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

A 200grs. Hornady bullet isn't listed. So I tried the 220grs. Hornady SP. 51 grs. of IMR 4895 seems way too low a charge. Pressure is calculated at 34k psi and velocity at 2330fps. If I was to believe QL, you could go up to 58 grs. IMR 4895. But this is purely theoretical. I have no personal experience with this caliber whatsoever.

Thank you McFox. That is valuable info to start with. I appreciate your help. The only published loading data that I find is in Hogdons manual & it is for the 14" barrel TC Encore handgun. It list the 220 gr with a max load of 51 gr of H4895 or IMR 4895 at right at 2200 fps but do not list pressures. Velocity can be increased a lot out of a 22" barrel vs a 14" handgun barrel. I was just curious how much. ![]() Doug Humbarger NRA Life member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club 72'73. Yankee Station Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.
