Hi shooters,
I am thinking about a case trimmer and can't decide. All I have used is the finger bustin lee case trimmers - you know the one that has a cutter head and a shank but no frame. Works great for just a few rounds but will work the hell out of your hands. How about RCBS, Redding or Hornady? I currently use all RCBS and Hornady dies for .221 Fireball, .25-06, .270 Win, .357 and .44 mag, 45 acp and .30-06. What bench type trimmer would you recommend for about $50 - $60?
I have loaded for about 15 yrs and my tired old hands wont take any more abuse.

Wilson, you have to buy caseholders for the cases you reload for but I don't think you can buy a better trimmer.

Welcome to the forum, Kalbrecht. Good to see another Wyoming keyboard here.

I agree with regard to the Wilson trimmer. I do a lot of .375 H&H brass and the Wilson is a pleasure to work with. Well....as much pleasure as one can realise when trimming brass!

I've tried most of the manual trimmers at one time or another and the Wilson is my favourite.

Regards,

Trim Pro manual case trimmer 70$

The whole kit cost 20$ more but it comes with all the shell holders and pilots you will need for your whole battery.

As the other post state the Wilson is great but geared more toward accruacy rifle loads and is slower to use but accurate...the new RCBS Trim Pro with the flat shellholders is fast and accurate and can be used with a low speed electric drill or screwdriver to turn the cutter shaft and speed up the trimming for larger batchs of cases.....The Forster is also nice and repeatable and uses a collet and will take several add on tools to neck turn and other prep steps and will also go power if desired.....check prices and get the one you find the best price as they are all quality made trimmers..some just super nice and more expensive....good luck and good shooting...without cramped fingers!!!!!!
