I know there has been discussion on powder dispensers so I thought I would give a report.

I finally decided to spend the cash on an automatic powder dispenser/scale system. As cash is tight I went with the Lyman 1200 PDS. Graf's has it on sale for $199 and free shipping. Well I must say the reviews I read don't give it justice. While I am an RCBS man the RCBS unit is another $100 and both are said to be just ass accurate with the edge on speed and ease of cleaning going to the RCBS. I actually read the RCBS is twice as fast as the Lyman. Well I was not that worried about saving seconds per round I was looking at being able to just push a button and not playing around with a spoon and trickler. Well the Lyman was easy to set up, plenty fast enough, and as far as I felt easy to clean the powder out of.

For those who have been thinking of buying one of these systems I give the Lyman two thumbs up!

I concur, I use two of the old Autoscales and the 1200 DPS and couldn't be happier with Lyman's on my bench. I use the autoscales for day to day loading and the 1200 for large batchs. thumb Good shooting.

Cool

Jaco & ph-5,

I purchased the Lyman as well, for two reasons, the 220 volt European issue and the price $$$ - it was much less expensive than RCBS and I'm a pretty True Blue Green Man also.

I'm t(r)ickled pink with it - works great & fast enough for me.

Like you guys my days of plastic spoons, tricklers and such are a thing of the past!

Cheers,
