I purchased 100 150 gr. round nose tipped green, neat looking little bullets for the 30-30..Anxious to try them out at the range and on deer this year..

I will be hunting tomarrow for 5 days in Northern Idaho for white tail deer..may get to try these out, if not maybe in Texas in January..

I'd be more surprised if someone could screw up a 30-30 bullet.
it's a disc of copper and some lead, they only been making them the same way since 1894.

Where abouts are you hunting up north Ray?

Hunted forest land out of Wieppe Idaho..We got a 4x4 average whitetail, and last minute doe..The bucks were grouping making it a guts and feathers hunt, The rut should be magnificent as the deer population is very large indeed...Saw lots of wolf sign and heard them howl, music to my ears but didn't get a shot at one..Saw a number of turkeys and a lot of does..Hot weather did help..I'll be going back next year God willing and the creek don't rise..Saw a nice herd of elk, all in all it was a great hunt..

I took my Savage Mod 99F in 308 Win it works well long range and in the thick black timber and that area has pleny of both..
