Anybody using H1000 for their 257 wby? I want to know if anybody has any loads with 100 grain bullets? I want to try it with some 100 grain Ballitic Tips.

My S-I-L has loaded for the 257Wby with H1000 powder with much success, but I think he was using 120 grain Speer BTSP bullets. This was the only load for his old rifle that really shot with exceptional accuracy.

bkm,
I have the 257 weatherby in the accumark configuration. My go to load is a 100 gr. partition over 73 gr. of IMR 7828, fed 215m primers. In the 26" barrel of the accumark it achieves abot 3650 fps. I used to use H-870 but it is no longer available. Its been several years since I settled on this load but as I recall I get better accuracy and higher velocity with IMR 7828 than with H1000. It definately works for me. I shoot lot of ballistic tips. They are somewhat more frangible than the partitions. Anything shot under 100 yds. at a velocity of 3600 fps. is going to have a lot of bloodshot meat.
