80 grains of H870 with the Nosler Partition, Fed. 215's and Remington cases. I get an honest 3100fps and 3/4 inch groups. Who would ask for more.

I used the cheap Remington 150 grain Corelocks.

Work for me.

Since elk are on the menu at my house from time to time I use the 160 grain Partition over 63-66 grains of H 4831 as my all around load (your rifle will tell you which charge weight it favors). Fed 215M primer. RL 22 will often give you a smaller group, but the H 4831 will show you the same (or nearly) velocity from 0 degrees up to 100 degrees.

Enjoy, it is a fun caliber, and the loaded rounds look cool too.

You can buy the Partitions cheap from Shooter's Pro Shop over in Bend, Oregon. Allegedly they are cosmetic seconds, but when I am gutting a fresh killed elk I think they look just fine.
