I have a 15" barreled 204 ruger I am trying to find the right load for. I am working with Hornaday 32gr and 40gr vmax bullets. Sierra manual had 39gr BlitzKing Max powder for Re-10X being 24.4. I started at 23.7 and went down to 21.8., 5gr at a time. All the loads pushed the dimple from the firing pin back flat. According to the Sierra manual the max for Varget with the 32gr blitzking is 28.8. I tried 28gr and the same thing is happening with the primer. I have the same results with Winchester or Remington primers. My groups with the 40gr are right at a inch. with the 32gr they are little over 3/4 inch at 100 yards. I am using a cheap scope and not the best rest. I tried changing OAL from 2.25 to 2.36 and it didn't help. Thanks Brushy SE Okla | ||
