Use the same information you can find in the manuals for the 250 grain bullets of any type and you will be safe. They are my go to bullet for my .340 Wby and .338 Lapua. Good luck and good shooting. phurley

Thanks Phurley...as easy as that I have never tested the NF 240 but I will this fall. Like to shear your experience with the 240 grainer ?? Arild Iversen.

I have taken Elk with both rifles using the 240 grain load, my grandson has also taken an Elk with the .338 Lapua. I use the 240 grainer for Elk because of the extra weight and in my toughness test that bullet is awesome. Both rifles shoot the 225 grain North Fork as well and I would use them on anything else including plains game in Africa in the mid to smaller sizes. The larger stuff would get the 240 grainer. I have shot many Swift A-Frames and they are also very tough, but the accuracy of the North Forks is usually better. Good shooting. phurley

Thanks again. My Ruger M77 in 338 Winnie will be the rifle on my next RSA plains games hunt. The game in question are zebra, kudu, red hartebeast, waterbuck and bushbuck. Guess the 240 NF will be the best of two worlds regarding trajectory, accuracy, penetraiton and plain omph !! ?? Arild Iversen.

I haven't used the NF in my .338, but clobbered some African game with 270's in the .375. The great thing about the NF's is that they will open up on the small stuff, still shoot through the big stuff lengthwise. Oh, I forgot about accuracy. The only downside is price, but what the hell, a few extra $$$ when travelling 9800 miles to hunt isn't anything to fret over and by the way you pay the trophy fee if a bullet blows up and doesn't penetrate. That will make the NF seem cheap. Mike Brady also sent some charts for me to fill out with details of wher the impact was, and angles, length of penetration etc. to acquire some real world performance data. This is a good example of how to find out how to improve a product, and perfect it. I just recently shot some in my .416 Rigby. One group went .256 for three shots at 100, a bit of a fluke, but it always groups under .75 with 105 grains of H4831 and the 370 NF. A shot not taken is always a miss
