I have Wilson bullet seater dies for my .222Mag and .220 Swift.

Any chance either would work with the .223 REM?

The .222 Mag seater will probably work for the .223 like it was made for it. Take 5 minutes and try it.

Anything special I should do or try first?

Will the .223Rem having a shorter case than the .222Mag be a problem?

The head to shoulder distance is almost the same. The .223 neck is shorter.
I seated 3 stubby 40 grain Hornet bullets using my .222 Rem (not magnum) die and .223 cases.
The regular .222 has a long neck too. The seater left about .150 of the .223 case hanging out the back end. The bullets seated normally if the case was properly chamfered. A long boat tail bullet might be preferred but I had no problems.

The .223REM case fits perfectly in the Wilson .222MAG Seater.
I measure the difference in the two cases, small differences, but I think the .222MAG seater is going to work.

> .222MAG neck= .2760 --- Case Length=1.8550 (fireformed)
> .223REM neck= .2000 --- Case Length= 1.7500 (resized)
