What are some of the tools/methods you all use to measure the headspacing of Weatherby cartridges? I use RCBS Precision Mics with my standard cartridges but am not sure where to begin with the Weatherby double radius. | ||

If it is a belted magnum Weatherby the headspace is on the belt. What caliber are you using? Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor | |||

I am hoping to find a way to measure the headspace using the case shoulder. I'm not sure I trust the idea of indexing headspace from the belt. The caliber is 300 Weatherby. | |||

As 30-378 says you are not measuring headspace but "head clearance" when you measure the gap on new cases between the case shoulder and chamber shoulder. Saying that, I use the regular Hornady Headspace Gauge.
