It is my understanding that Hornady used .411" bullets to suit the Ruger rifle. I've been using .410" Woodleighs in my Heym, even though it was regulated with Hornady factory ammo, because Chris Sells suggested I try both diameters. So far they seem to work OK.
Even if .411 were a thou too big, your strong action should give some grace. However, according to the Woodleigh catalog, their 405 Win bullets are .412".

I've used both sp and flat point hornady 300 gr 411's extensively in my Hollis double, even got them to reegulate. 63 grains RL-15 is a good starting place. Would be mild load in ruger. Bob
I have loaded the 300 Hornadys in the No.1 in 450/400 3"using a very moderate amount of 5744 (around 1600 fps) and they worked great - the perfect charging squirrel load and a heck of a lot easier on the shoulder than factory 400s.

Wonderful performance in the 450-400 and .410 groove barrels which is all I use in 400 Whelens too. I have a #1 in 450-400 too. Great for most anything here and as said, kicks less although I do not load them lightly. .411 bullets are not too big in a .410. Big bores are not like small ones where one or two thousandths might be important. If you really want a light load, even up to deer, use 41 mag pistol bullets.
