I've had mixed results with Hornady ammunition, some good and some bad. As with human nature, I've posted about the bad, but typically neglect to mention when a manufacturer's product performs perfectly satisfactorily. To make up for that I want to extend my thanks to Hornady's customer service: I was at fault in bending the decapping spindle on a Hornady resizing die, and compounded the mistake by breaking off the threads inside the expander button. I looked online at various retailers who wanted $20 or more for replacements, but none of them actually had the parts in stock. But I finally looked at Hornady's website where you're instructed to call for parts. I phoned the number, ran through the auto menu, and pushed the number for "sales". A nice lady answered immediately. After only a brief description of the parts I needed (she obviously understood perfectly), she took just a moment to look them up then told me that she would be sending them out to me right away, complementary, no charge for parts or shipping! I thanked her profusely, and now I publicly thank Hornady for solving my self-inflicted problem at no expense to me.

Love to hear this kind of thing. Restores my faith! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Redding and Dillon have done the same for me. There are probably more but good to know there are at least three!

Nice Stone!! In the past....I've had similar experiences with RCBS. Good companies all!! On a side note.....long time Hornady representative Doug Derner recently passed away. His obit is over on the small caliber board. I considered him a long time good friend. Kevin
