I'm hoping someone can give me a recomendation on a reduced load for my .300 RUM. I've worked up terrific hunting loads that maximize the capability of this fine cartridge, but I would like to also shoot this rifle (Remington 700 LLS) at a friend's silhouette range so I'm seeking a different solution; reduced recoil, <2900fps to prevent damage to his silhouettes, etc. Has anyone found a formula for 1 MOA or less with something like a 165-168 gr Sierra Match King, at or below 2900 fps? You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on the back as you pass. But your final reward will be heartache and tears If you've cheated the man in the glass | ||

I have worked up a batch of loads that work well in the 300 Win Mag.. But for those who just like Load Manual Data... that has been factory pressure tested, reduced loads are available in the Accurate Powder Reload Manual using 5744 powder.. or disassemble one of Remington's Managed Recoil Loads and weigh the powder charge and chronograph a load or two.. with that info you can duplicate handloads that will meet the same specs...
