Any recommendations on loads for 165 and 180 gr. bullets?

Accuracy and brass life are more important than raw max. velocity.

Do a search for 300 H&H loads on the site. It has been a topic of interest many times over. Good choice of cartridge, I recently acquired one and have fallen in love with what it can do accuracy-wise. I have had good luck with H4831 using 65 grains with 180 grain bullets. Should yield you about 2800 fps depending on barrel length. I am fortunate enough to have a 26" tube on mine. I haven't played around with 165 grain bullets yet. Once again, good choice with regards to the H&H, a true classic cartridge.

My gold standard for the 180gr is 65gr of IMR 4350 behind a Nosler Partition. Incredible accuracy out of a pre-war Model 70. MV about 3010. jorge

PS: CCI-250 primers and WW brass

I load 73 grains of H-4831SC under a 180 gr. Partition in both my 700 Classic and my 721. It's a great performer in both guns. Approach with caution as this is a maximum load. For lighter bullets use H-4350.
