The classic load using H380 in the 22-250 with said bullets is 38.0 grs. That's how the powder got its' designation.

Never shot the sierra but my Noslers loved it.

Burned out a barrel using it. However my new barrel seems to like RL15 and 55grs a touch better. But for sure not enough to make a difference hunting.

As usual just my $.02

The best powder i ever used in the 22-250 was Data Powder 85 if you can find it. Similar to the 4350s but a tad more dense. You can get 41.5 grains into the case while the 4350s for the most part are limited to around 39 grains. It has produced 2" groups at 400 yds. even with a little breeze. beerroger

tu2 I happen to have some DP85. used it in the 270 many years ago.
I checked it out and its still good.
I only have a couple pounds. out of a 8 pound jug.
I will start at 39 grs and work up.
