I bought a box of Remington Premier A-Frame 200 gr. bullets for my 300 Ultra Mag from Cabelas. I really like the way they shoot out of my gun and these bullets (which are a new bullet from Remington) were in excellent shape. (they have a nickel plated case) NOW I ordered 3 more boxes from Midway which came today, when I was checking them out I noticed that all of them have small dents on the case. Some a little worse than others but overall none of them are very deep. These dents are near the top where the case necks down on the bullet but still on the fat part of the case. Seems like they would still be ok to use but I am not familiar with reloading at all. I guess they came from the factory this way? Could remingtons crimping tool have done the tiny dents? Would these be ok to use? Thanks for any advice.

Don't know what caused the dents but they will be fine to shoot. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

You will find the dents quite opten with new brass and especially buying bags of 100. It is a good practice to always run new brass through your sizing die and debur before loading. The improtant thing is to get the necks nice and straight.

carefully confirm that they all chamber easily.....if they do just go hunting....they're fine. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
