I don't mind if I like it... I just don't want to spend $45 and NOT like it, if that makes any sense. Home is in Maple Valley, Wa, but I also go to College in Ellensburg, Wa, so if anyone is near any of those two, and is interested, I'll split some.
I've never had a VihtaVouri powder I didn't like. They are affiliated with Lapua and between the two of them they produce some exceptional products. I've been exceedingly happy with VV550 and VV560. This past year I decided to try VV133 for my smaller calibers, and it's also a winner. It's very popular with benchrest shooters. The 2lb. cans never seem to last long enough to become a problem. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.
I use VV N160 in my .375Ultra with Saeed's 375/404 data and it is exceptional. I've just begun using N135 in my .350RemMag; so far so good. I've gotten better velocities with some other powders but VV consistantly produces the tightest groups for me.

Make that 2 men's opinion. Also 320 and 340 pistol powder work very consistant and meter well. The only thing not to like is the size of the package. Perhaps they do it because of shipping costs. Good stuff in any event.

If you try the VithaVouri powders I am sure you will like them. I can vouch for N133, N540, N550, and N560. Wide range of applications. The N133 will make a 223 sing with 50 gr. bullets. N540 works extremely well with 69 and 75 gr. bullets out of a fast twist 223. N540 is very hard to beat in a 308 with 155 gr. bullets. I use N550 in my hunting 308 behind a 165 gr. Sierra HPBT GameKing. Accuracy is in the .5 MOA range with a velocity of 2784 fps avg. fps velocity. A friend of mine uses N540 in his 308 Win behind a 175 gr. MatchKing in his 308 with excellent results. I use N550 in my 300 WSM long range match rifle behind a 175 MatchKing. It shoots good enough that I have won my share of long range matches with it. I have used N560 in my 260 Rem. behind a 142 gr. MatchKing. That load shoots well enough to win at long range if I do my part. They are some of most consistently accurate powders I have ever tried. I think you will like them if you try them. I am to the point, the only powders I use other than the VithaVouri powders are IMR 4064 and H4350 EXT. in my rifles. By the way, as much fun as chasing cooter is, buying powder is far cheaper in the long run......and I am talking with 35 years experience with both cooter and gun powder. If you don't believe anything else I said, you can take that statement to the bank my friend.

Quote "You won't improve on the performance of Varget and H4895 in the .308."
You might if you use VV-N135 in your .308...at least it is more accurate in MY .308s. It is also cleaner burning, at least in my rifles.
I still use a lot of 4895 (all 3 of IMR, H, and "surplus") but I'd use just Vihtavouri if it wasn't for the low, low prices of some of the great 4895 buys I've stumbled across. I think Vihtavouri is the best stuff out there.

I tried a bunch of different powders while working up loads for a 22-250 and a 220 Swift. VV550 worked best for me.But, my shooting buddy uses H380 and another buddy uses 4064 and so on. The only way you will know is to try some. BA
I'll put in another vote for the VV powders. I use N-165 in my 280AI. 140AB over 63.3 grains VV N-165, fed 210M primer gives me 3206 and ragged hole groups. What more can you ask from somethin ?
