So I made the mistake of buying a bottle of imr4064. I was told by someone it can be used for loading 5.56 nato rounds, but I cant find any reload data on it anywhere! do any of you guys use it for this round? Thanks

Here is some data dependent upon bullet weight you're planning on using. Link

Great powder and yes, it is good with 223. On the slow side for it, but still a valid choice.

I have burned many lbs of it in a lot of different rounds a good powder.

Your only mistake was not buying 2 bottles.

So... just load my 5.56 brass as though it's 223?

Yes, you can load your 5.56 brass just like 223Rem, although with the slower burn rate of 4064 I would recommend heavy for caliber bullets if your rifle has a fast enough ROT to stabilize them.

If I remember rite I used 23 grains of 4064 with 60 grain Hornadys for 223.
