Just used my new Christmas present for the first time. I bought myself the Pact electronic powder dispenser and scale combo. For over forty years, I have hand measured each and every powder charge I've thrown. So, I finally decided to move into the 21st century. Once I get use to this new fangled equipment, I think I'm gonna love it! I'm finding that there is still some technique involved, even when using something that does the work for you. The unit has some drawbacks but I think I can live with them. Even big boys still like "toys" for Christmas.

I have had the Pact set since they first came out. I think it is great. It is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. I have never had to use the warranty but a couple times the scale did some funny things and they walked me thru the fix over the phone. Also my diapenser is an early one so I sent it back last year for the speed up kit.
I use the scale a lot when I am dumping ball powder with the powder measure. About every tenth one or so I set an empty case on the scale and hit the tare button, then dump the charge in the case and set it back on the scale to check the powder wt. You will love it.

You ARE going to love it. I have the PACT version #2 and will never go back to the old brownshoe days. You will find that certain powders tend to run a bit heavy and some a bit light. I've learned to set my drops .1 gr. light when dropping ball powder and right on when dropping medium or long grained powder. I then just tap the spout a couple times, if necessary, to get the weight I want. Small charges of flake powder are no problem.......

I don't know why I kept one old measure and the trickler; I'll never be loading during a power outage.

I bought one one these last year about this time and the first powder I tried in it was Win 748, the inst say that the unit deosn't like Ball powders, but doesn't say it will not work with them. This unit of mine wouldn't even calibrate its self with 748, switched to Varget and that did work, but 748 is what I have a pile of and what I would prefer to load with. Scale works nice. FS
