Any tricks or techniques for reloading the above gun? Favorite case, primer, powder, bullet, seating depth ..... etc?

i cant tell you too much, havent done much loading for mine, but out of a Rem 700, i have had very nice 3 shot groups using powders such as Varget and H380. Can't remember the exact charges off hand, but they were somewhere around 2gr less than max. I was using a magnum primer with 150gr NABs, and Win cases. Seating depth is important as I assume this is a hunting rifle. Seat to fit the magazine, and make sure that the rounds feed smoothly as this can be a finicky feeder. good luck

I've been trying to find an accurate load since January !!!! I bought a Browning A-Bolt Medalion in January of this year an I've resigned myself to sending the gun back because I've tried at least 6 diferent powders plus Nosler BTip ETip, Barnes TSX,TTSX, Acubonds, Partitions, ect. ect. I give up, can't get this gun to print a group less than 2.5-3inch off a bench. Keep in mind all my other rifles that I handload for print inside 1 inch or less. I wish you good luck with your A-Bolt.

Funny thing is, I bought 4 different boxes of ammo (180gr Accubonds, 1800 Fed Powershock, etc)to try. I found that it shot 180gr Win Silver Ballistic Tips better than anything else I could make or find Smiler I still laugh.

MRAMSAY 10, I've found that often the WSM's shoot Win Supreme Ammo really well. They (Win) were one of the originators, so that makes some sense I guess.

With the very thin barrels on A-bolts, it can be tricky to find a load. The 300 WSM is the most finicky of the WSM's in load development in my experience, but I have 3 that all shoot REALLY well. It took a while on 1 of em, and I firelapped that barrel with the Tubbs Final Finish system, that did the trick, it has shot several loads sub MOA since, the same loads before did 1 1/2" or so at a 100 prior to the firelapping. I would seriously consider firelapping your barrel.

One other thing I have noticed on several A-bolts in 300 WSM I have helped develop a load for, they like loads LOWER in the power scale. Can't say why, but it is true IME, on two of them, we shot a version of the Creighton Audette Ladder, and they both always liked charges at starting levels, and accuracy disintegrated as we increased the charge level. Also look at seating your bullets further off of the lands--Yes, further. I have seen this make a big difference, didn't make sense to me, but again it worked.

Good luck!
