While on a hunting trip up in washington, A fellow hunter was in need of some 45 colt ammo, while I had none on the property, I did have a bunch of 45 raptor cases, and as luck would have it, his wheel gun was machined for moon clips, After trimming the 45 raptor brass down to colt length, I neck reamed them for .452 projos, loaded up QL, played with some numbers and came up with 20 grains of H-110 under a 300gn hornady XTP mag. Ran a few over the chrony, out of a 2.5" s&w governor we averaged 980fps with awesome recoil (awesome was debated by many that day, as it was brutal on the hand).

The case had zero pressure signs, primers had there full radius, case expanded enough to seal up the cylinder completely, Re-sizing can be done with a 45colt or acp die. More load development to come when I get my reamer back from swift tool, I plan on making up a barrel for my H&R sb2, it will head space off the case neck.
