Handloaders Digest 18th ed. SUCKS!!! Your opinion?

Hi all,

I received the 18th edition of HANDLOADERS DIGEST and was very disappointed, when I holded it in my hands. Boy, it was only half of the old 15th ed. I owe!!! 256 Pages compared to 480!!! The articles surely nice, the overview on reloading accessories nice too, but somehow they must have forgotten the chapter with BULLETS!!! (30 pages in the 15th ed.) This section was for me the main reason to buy this book! I felt like if I`ve bought the Gun Digest without the rifle section! Of course I sent the book back and demanded to be kept informed, if there ever will appear an edition with bullet section.

So, does anybody know why the bullet section was removed? Where can I find a comparable description of all available bullets around the world? Do I need to visit every homepage of every manufacturer or does there exist a supplier, that has them all in his catalogue (or online)?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Greetings

Wolfgang

Greg, over at www.reloadbench.com has quite a few bullets with specs, and most have photos attached if that helps you any. The link is accessable right off the home page.

Personally I've thought edition #1 to the present was a waste.

I agree! I was sadly disappointed that the bullet section was omitted. Maybe it's because so many new ones seem to be added pretty frequently and they just can't keeep up!

It might have been a couple years ago, but I thought I heard that the publishers were publishing the last Handloaders Digest. Now you've got me curious. Did it really go out of print? Did someone else start publishing it? Is the 18th edition published by the same outfit that published the 15th? Thanks for the warning anyway.
