Hi there,

I have about two pounds of Winchester Magnum Powder (ball powder), that I used to use to reload my .300 Win Mag. I can't find my old reloading data, and I see that Winchester no longer sells the product, nor has any data available. Does anyone know a source of reloading data for WMP? I'm looking for .300 Win Mag loads (180 gr).

Thanks

Analog,

My load data shows I fired 72gr WW Magnum Powder with Hornaday 180gr BTSP, WW WLR primer, and got 2868fps. THIS IS RECORDED AS TOO HOT and to back off 1 full grain. It was not particularly accurate. I concluded that this is not an optimum powder for 300WinMag.

I achieved 3000fps with 180 gr Remington PSP, 72.1gr of IMR 4350 and a WLMR primer. This is a hot load but I worked up to it. It was very accurate and fast. Kudude

Analog,

I have the Data sheet for WMR and it shows for a 180 gr. SP, 74.0 (max), 2960 FPS, 60,300 psi pressure.

I could make a copy at work and send it to you if you would like. It is not in the best shape but I think it will still copy well.

PM your address to me if you want a copy.

Jim
