OK guys I just put my new TC Encore together with a heavy brl in 22-250 so I am in need of some good varmint or should I say more specifically Coyote loads. I was planning on using the 55gs Balistic tips. Can anyone give me some nice loads for the 22-250? The powders I have on hadnright now are Varget (my main powder in just about everything) IMR 4064 and H335. So I would like loads that work with these powders but am open to anything as long as it will net me good results.
i use a 50g vmax over 36.5g of varget out of my 24inch varmint sako and so far i have turned in a .252 group at 100yds in a 4mph 10-4 cross wind. the bullet is seated 0.004 off the lands. i think this is a very good group for a standard rifle but i also think a little bit more tinkering will shave a few thou off.

My 22-250 likes 35.3 gr. Reloader 15 and 55 gr. Nosler BT's with Win primer. I have also had good results with Varget. I used the load right out of the manual 55 Gr. Nosler BT bullet and I think around 36.5 Varget with Win. primers. I have also had good results with 55 vmax bullet in the same loads. My gun tends to like the Nosler's a litter better, maybe because they are boattails and the vmax's are not.
Embalmer, try 35.5 g IMR 4895. Found it to be a Generic load that most 250's will shoot well with. Like rooksd, mine and everyone's I know seems to love the Nosler's a little better. The 55-grain Nosler solid base is tops for accuracy in all my 250's.

My Tikka likes the 50gr V-max over 35.5 grains of H4895. Got the load right off the powder container and it shoots around .4 @ 100 and about .75 @ 200. I tried different amounts of powder, but that load was the best. Using WLR primers.
My best load in my .22-250Rem. is the time honored 34.1grs. of IMR4064 with the Sierra or other 52gr. bullet. I step it up to 35.2 when shooting 55gr. bullets. This gives me 3600 and 3500 respectively. and is extremely accurate, like in the low twos. Best wishes.
My Winchester Coyote likes 35.2 grains of Varget in a Winchester case using a standard Winchester primer pushing the 52 grain Sierra HPBT Match bullet. It runs less than half inch consistantly.
