I'll look in my Lyman's manual when I get home, I think there may be a load in there. Is it a vintage (old) or new Shiloh? What pressure do you want to stay under?

New manufacture circa 1989, I was told by Shiloh that I could use Ruger #1 data. Everywhere else I look they list the 1874 style sharps and replicas in the pressure category above trapdoors, but below the Marlin and Win. 1886. Personally, the rifle kicks me plenty well enough with 405 gr. pills around 1800 FPS. What's another 100 grains?

Go, Here are some 500gr jacketed RN Hornady bullet data. These are out of the Hornady manual #4, for a Ruger #1 22" bbl. IMR4198 39.1GR @ 1500 47.6GR @ 1800 Lyman's 47th Edition IMR4198 35.0GR @ 1440 43.0GR @ 1657 I think I remember that Universal recievers are a little tighter than regular bbls? Might account for some of the differences. I know that when Lyman says max, they are not kidding, I usually have to stop well before I get there in my guns. Good luck.
