Why can't this be done as long as one limits it to one in chamber, one in mag tube? Why do I want to do it? ? ? A friend has a son that is VERY concerned with recoil from the 30-30 . . . . Yeah all the loudenboomer shooters say "That ain't no recoiling rifle". Only opinion that counts in this situation is her sons and until he overcomes "fear of recoil" it is VERY important to download for recoil and noise reduction! What is overall length that will feed in 94 and 336 action? Don't limit your challenges . . . Challenge your limits

Been doing this for years in T/C Contenders. My grandsons have been receiving this as their first rifle, i.e., 22LR and .30-30 barrels. The 125 bullet has enough capability for antelope and deer here in Colorado. .395 Family Member DRSS, po' boy member Political correctness is nothing but liberal enforced censorship

I, for one, find the 30-30 to be a nasty kicker, simply due to the cut of the stock. In addition to working out a light load (Max OAL 2.550 BTW) see if you can build up the comb for him (lace on pad?)

I'm afraid that you might find out that although it will chamber you might not be able to eject loaded rounds at the end ofthe day. I played with a friends marlin a few years back and although we didn't work real hard at a solution that's what we found in his gun.
