old FYI:::
For those of you who still have a quantity of DP #74. Over a long period of time I've found that this powder produces accuracy as good as or better than any other powder used in the .223 VARMINT rifles with bullet weights up to 70 grains.. beer roger

I had some that was surplus and it worked pretty good in a 222 I used it up and went back to ww760.
52gr was the heaviest I loaded.
I like about all the accurate powders

I have also found the surplus AA-2200 for the .223 and .300 Whisper super-sonic loads works very well.
The more I play with surplus powders,them more uses I find for them.
I ran out of Dp74 long ago.

I ran through my 2 jugs of it long ago and still miss it.
I guess that we will never see any more of it???

It was the the cat's meow in 5.56 loadings and the price was super nice too!

AA-2200 is no longer a surplus powder. It is now being produced in the U.S. and sold as a canister powder. I have a little left of the original lot (Czech?), and a jug of the new lot and they seem to perform identically -- rare for powders produced in different plants and different countries. And yes, it's a great powder for lots of small capacity cases.
