I have a Springfield Armory trophy match in 1911. When i first got the gun, i was able to punch out the bullseye. No brag intended. I was using PB powder with regular primers. I can no longer find PB powder. I have been trying various powders, primers, and, bullets. So far groupings are spread over a 4 to 5 inch diameter. With all my other guns, i can group within 2 inches. Can anyone out there stear me in the right direction? Thanks from Colorado

WST is my go to powder for target loads. Try 5gr under a 170-180gr hard cast lead. From your KTM, I would expect at least 2" at 25yds. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

I've had good luck with Power Pistol in my two 40 S&W.

I'll second Teancum's vote for Power Pistol and also say I've had great results with 165 gr & 180 gr bullets using Univ. Clays which I like a little better than Power Pistol. Steve E....... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran

I use Unique Powder with 155 gr. HP. Velocity is around 1170 and accuracy is pretty good considering the pistol trigger and sights. Not only does it group on paper, it also spits the cases into a small area on the ground. Function is very good. I'm shooting an S&W Sigma. It's not a target pistol. ______________________________ Well, they really aren't debates... more like horse and pony shows... without the pony... just the whores. 1955, Top tax rate, 92%... unemployment, 4%.
