Outlaw State Bulets

Anybody ever hear of them or use them?

Specifically the 405gr .458 Supersonic

I'm looking at these as a replacement for a Remington .458 405gr RNSP in my 458WM. Looking to push them about 2200fps.

Any info is much appreciated.

Hizzie

They look like the 405 Rem reswaged to have a pointy nose form. Why else would there be two cannelures?

Two cannelures are not all that uncommon. I'm seen it on standard production bullets. It just give you two different lengths to crim on a cantelure.

They look like they are built with some of Dave Corbins equipment.

The .308 subsonics have a rebated boattail. That's one of the options dave offers with his equimpent.

Somebody has some good eyes. Below is the email exchange with the owner of Outlaw State Bullets. As you can see he thoroughly answered all of my questions and is quite the salesman. Roll Eyes

Hizzie,
This is a reformed 405 grain remington that is built for 45-70s. The jacket is .015 thick and is probably not the bullet for the .458 win mag unless you are looking for dramatic expansion on thin skinned game. Barnes has a 400 grain single shot bullet with a thicker jacket.

Hello,

I am looking for information on your .458 405gr Supersonic SP (non-segmented). What velocity are they tested up to? What weight % do they retain? What is the BC? I would be loading them in a 458 Winchester Magnum @ 2200fps.

Thanks,

Hizzie
