WC 846 is the same spec powder as BL-C2 and WW 748. It will vary from these two powders about like lots of the same powder will vary from one another. It was designed for the 7.62 Nato (.308 Winchester), but works well in most applications where a "medium" burning rate rifle powder is called for. Many people like it in .222, .223, .30-30, .300 Savage, .308, 8x57, and similar small-to-medium capacity cartridges. In burning rate it is just slower (in most instances) than H-335, being similar (but not interchageable) with IMR/H-4895, VV-135, etc.

I bought a 8# jug of AA 2520 because I knew what it was good for, also for $50. Seems like the two powders are in the same ballpark. Leftists are intellectually vacant, but there is no greater pleasure than tormenting the irrational.

Good post..... But please educate me.....it's been known for some time that W-760 is the same powder as H-414 and if one goes to the hodgdon website the loading data is now identical for the two powders..... But I did not know that BL-C(2) and Win-748 are the same powders.....they seemed similar but are they really the same powder? /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." FWIW, the first two pound jug of WC846 I bought was allright with BLC2 data, the second lot I bought in an 8# jug was a bit hotter. It also proved to be pretty temperature sensitive and I've pretty much quit using it as loads you work up in the cooler months will show pressure signs later in the summer.

My shooting buddies and I use a lot of it BL-C -2 is close for the most part. It has a lot of KaaBoooom but is proving repeatable and accurate. It has a wide range of cartridge useage. I use it in 223 (bartsche's load), 7.5x55, and 35 Whelen. The Whelen load is a hot load with 180g 357 bullets. It is the loudest of any load I have shot in my unbraked rifles, with a muzzle flash that is visible at high noon. Jason
