Recoil RobWhen is case trimming done?
After resizing, if needed?

BigdaddytacpI do it after cleaning and full length resizing....that way the case mouths should be consistant and fit the trimmer mandrel or holder consistantly and you get a even cut on the whole batch.....good luck and good shooting-loading!

Chop901I first put the fired cases in my cleaner, then full length resize. In order to get rid of any lubricant that is left from the resizing, I dump them into the cleaner again. Then, I use the Lee case trimmer which is a great way to develop thumb muscles and also punches out any cleaner stuff in the primer hole. It also lets me know if there's a problem with the flash hole. Then I chamfer, then I'm ready to prime.
No, this is not a volume operation !
