Do you have any experience in using VV N530, N540, N550 in big bore, straight walled cases?
Thanks.

Not my work but Michael has 458 lott data in http://www.b-mriflesandcartrid...0Data%2012232013.pdf and maybe 458 win also. I think that VV has data on their website for 458 win. I am using VV N530 in a 458 lott, as a sub 9# rifle it kicks a bit with 450 grain CEB solids. No pressure signs with the B&M suggested load of 81 grains (Work your way up), but it burns clean and no muzzle flash. I have not used it on game yet.

Thanks Arniet,
That is good info. (I actually already have it.)
I appreciate that you mentioned Michael.
He (B-M) is way ahead of the pack in thorough research of bullets, and cartridge design.
I got into CEB and NF bullets through reading their stuff.
I use N550 in my 577 NE ( 24ga From Hell). Ed Hubel got me started on that powder due to the nice pressure curve.
I am going to try one a bit faster like N540 in my 577NE. I am also building a 50-110 Winchester that I will try VVN powder on it. Maybe N540 or N530.

Thanks again for your post. Brian

Your 9# Lott probably kicks like a rented mule. I epoxied a 1/2 brass weight in the forend if my CZ 458 Lott.
I also like the handling of a rifle/shotgun with the weight forward.
