How does it work and how do you plan to use it? I bought one for my GF several years back and I use it for bolts, small gun parts ect ,a S&W 60 even fits. It is larger than the cheap one Harbor Freight now sells I think ,it is 8"x8"x 6" without the basket. I found out the hard way ,DON"T leave aluminum parts in it very long or they can be ruined . I use a small one for cleaning Muzzleloading nipples and such. Works great. I also use it to clean my bronze brushes.

Bush Man, May I ask how big the unit is, and about what it ran you? I'm intrested in one also. I used to work at a place that had a very large unit with heat. I worked nights when I was there and would bring in my fired brass cases to clean. They would come out SPARKLING CLEAN inside and out after about 2 to 3 hours. After drying I would tumble them in ground corn cob, and they looked better than new cases. Most of the units that I've come across are quite small. billt

Guys I used such an ultra- sonic tank for case cleaning, it worked well using watch cleaning fluid as the cleaning medium, this can be obtained from jewellers stores who specialise in fine clockwork watches etc. The liquid is comprised of a weak ammonia/soft soap detergent. 20-30 mins in this brought cases to a dull yellow finish, but too much exposure brought the copper out of the brass. For case cleaning I have had better results using a corn cob / jewellers rouge mix. This works extremely well and produces a polished factory finish to the case. On the other hand for cleaning components and removing degraded grease and powder particles, such a cleaning tank would be a good choice. JT
